A life in colour and storytelling
Victor Bal is a contemporary Indian artist whose creative practice explores human emotion, cultural identity, spirituality, mythology and the intricate relationship between humanity and nature.
Working primarily in watercolour and acrylic, his paintings combine expressive brushwork, vibrant colour and elements of figurative realism. His artistic language moves between intimate human narratives, traditional Indian mythology, environmental concerns and everyday observations, transforming familiar subjects into evocative visual experiences.
An educator by profession and an artist by passion, Bal has cultivated his artistic journey alongside his commitment to teaching. For him, painting is a personal language through which emotions, memories and ideas find expression.
Mentored by veteran artist Nripen Nath, Bal continues to develop his individual approach to colour, composition and visual storytelling. His works have appeared at exhibitions and art events across Kolkata, Bengaluru and Kerala.
